The reason I am asking is because I am working on a service to help e-commerce businesses and want to better understand the situation.

I think most people struggle with the first: finding an idea/product. It's also the most crucial.

I would also imagine that many sellers have issues with actually moving product. Having the perfect idea/offer does nothing if you can't sell it. Things like digital marketing/CAC, USP are likely overlooked by many.

Do many people still purchase products from random eCommerce sites? I have not bought anything in at least 8-10 years from a random store online that I never heard of. I use Amazon.

i have a fb page im trying to grow, have used paid advertising (no sales pitch) and its not getting more likes/follows. screaming internally.

I was not aware of that. Still not sure.... most fashion sites that come up on Google are big box stores or huge corps.
