Some great books on this list. I have E-Myth and Meditations on the bookshelf now. I'm currently reading Shoe Dog by Phil Knight.

Thanks! Be sure to check out the rest of the list, all are worth a read. Just finished "Bold" by Peter Diamandis. Full of very actionable tips on growing industries at the moment. Will add Shoe Dog to my list.

Great book so far. Shows you that not everyone needs $30 million dollars to live wealthy. Highly recommend.

Trying to finish up Ben Franklin's autobiography before I jumped into some of meatier, recommended books I often see on this forum. Its amazing how much wisdom a man like him had in the 1700s. The advice and wisdom is timeless and more impactful than something you would read from a "guru" today. And his journey starting a printing business is quite remarkable in and of itself, it can just be a more difficult read at times due to the language difference of the day.

After that, have to finish up Zig Ziglars Secrets of Closing the Sale. I really hate how I've left so many books half finished, and I'm making it high time to finish them and delete them off my Kindle until I need them again.

Aaaand after I finish that, have to read Ca$hvertising and Influence, which I will read while working on a long form copy page for a new service. That way the principles I learn go directly into the work I do.

Then I have to read Stephen King's "On Writing" while finishing publishing an e-book I've been working on.

And lastly, I have a few books that are oft repeated on here as being good ones to read, so I'll dive into them as part of my morning / nightly routines. They include: Psycho-cybernetics, The Lean Startup, Master Key System, and Choose Yourself.

Overall have 29 books on my Kindle that I've bought in the past and never read, so my goal for 2017 is to finish them, trying to tie each book into a relevant thing I am doing at the time, but if I can't, oh well I will read it anyways.

I'm currently reading Key Person Of Influence by Daniel Preistely. What's interesting about this (nearly 200 page) paperback is that he'll send it to you for free if you ask for it. That would cost me at least $14 each time. That's a pretty big gamble that I'll become a long term client (haven't yet). Fascinating to see how people's minds work sometimes. That's what I love about books. It's like meeting, sitting down and listening to the author. Sitting down with a real book is starting to become under rated by some people which I think is a bit sad...for them.

+ 1 for Shoe Dog- read a couple months back- really demonstrates the importance of innovation (creating a better product) and sales from Day 1- he had a salesman before he had any business affording one.

As with any good business bio, you can feel the amount of fear/anxiety in the early stages as there's constant uncertainty and cash crunches with any high-growth business. Doing whatever it takes, including getting a teaching gig to pay the bills, was key to his success.

2) i am reading neville Goddard's books

if his teachings is right, i will say farewell next month on this forum
Ok I'm curious - why would you do that?

About to get started on The Lean Start Up... I just got finished with Tim Ferriss's 4 Hour Body, certainly changed the way I diet and exercise.
Just began The Lean Start Up myself and am enjoying it.

- Success Cybernetics by U.S. Anderson. Good message and content but it was written in the slang of another era (60's?), so if you can look past that it's actually really good. It's about the mental game of succeeding in your pursuits and managing yourself.

.

answer these questions and maybe you will find the answer

1) do you believe people are equal ? why ?

2) what is the purpose of life ?

i won't answer these questions for you because of this quote :

that's why the masters always win

masters vs "we the people" : 1-0

Reading the You Don't Know JavaScript series by Kyle Simpson

A must read for anyone who's serious about web development.
Just getting into this space myself but I've heard that Eloquent Javascript is also very good. I bought it but it's not time for me to go through it just yet.

This book was mentioned previously, but I am reading

The Everything Store: Jeff Bezos and the Age of Amazon

Super interesting. It's the type of book that entrepreneur geeks love, myself included.

Great story with INSIDERS insights into the founding, methodology, and operation of Amazon.

Highly recommended, especially for anyone who plays in the eCommerce channel.

I'm currently reading Shoe Dog by Phil Knight and it's INCREDIBLE. It's not the fact that he took Nike from $8000/year from 1964 to $43bn/year in 2016 which in itself is madness. It's the spiritual journey that took him from dreams to reality. He talks about everything I believe in and follow. He had the same anxieties as me. He's human.

I like books with real business stories behind them, so these 2 will be probably mike next to read.

Genghis Kahn and the Making of the Modern World:
First group of people to exploit Chinese manufacturing
Created the Silk Road, moving goods from the Far East to Europe
Incredible ballsy military tactics; siege warfare, cavalry and the bow

The Emporers of Chocolate:
Amazing true story of the origins of Mars and Hershey's chocolate brand.
Forest Mars was an insanely smart and successful entrepreneur, his family is now one of the richest in the world,, and Hershey sold his caramel candy company in 1900 for a million dollars, took the money and created an entire town devoted to chocolate production, in a time when only the most privileged could afford to enjoy chocolate, a true pioneer

Elon Musk bio by Ashlee Vance:
Just read it and prepare for the future

Guess I'm going through an exploration phase

Anybody read Daniel Dipiazza's book Ditch your average job, start an epic business and score the life you want!? He seems to me he's a bit of a bullshitter but the book got great reviews.
A book I'd recommend is Anyone can do it by Duncan Bannatyne. He started out in the 70s as an ice cream man in his 30's and then went on to build nursing homes and so on.

Think and grow rich I can't seem to get in to somehow. I will try again tough.
A real good read is a book I picked up a while back for 50p and has been both informative and quite a humorous read, and it's called Go IT ALONE the streetwise secrets of self-employment by Geoff Burch. Great read.

I'm currently reading The Millionaire Fastlane (1/2 way trough, loving it) and when I commute (in the car or on my bicycle) I listen to "The Suble Art of Not Giving a F*ck" by Mark Manson. A good book that make's you think but also has a lot of humour in it.

Obviously it is the intention of the book but found it super shallow and lacking even 2cm of depth on anything it mentions. I realise it's more of a resource to spark further study but I found it frustrating and overwhelming.
