I just finished 3 Grant Cardone books... 10X Rule, Sell or Be Sold, & If You're Not First You're Last. They are good - motivating and helpful to understand the work necessary to win. But Grant totally lacks prioritization as a principle. You have to pair his books with like 80/20 Sales & Marketing or the 4 Hour Workweek to get balance.

I also just finished 'No BS Ruthless Management of People & Profits' by Dan Kennedy. And HOLY COW - I cannot recommend this book enough for anyone running a business with employees. It is truly enlightening.

I started 'Book Yourself Solid' but couldn't get through the first quarter of the book... boring if you aren't a consultant.

I stopped reading books for the most part. Instead of reading, you could be building your business. You'll learn much more by doing than by reading.

Instead of spending 30 minutes a day learning from the success of others you could be blindly attempting it yourself. o_O

If your business doesn't allow you enough time to read a bit everyday then you need to read a book on that.

Watch 4:40 onwards...

I think if we are not strong men and women , we cannot go anywhere worthwhile in life and in business.

So i am reading stuff on power, not just business.

Because business is war against adversity. In case, you didn't know, 96 % of businesses fail within 10 years.

That's 96 % : this is serious thing to think about.

THINK about that : a start up ( yours maybe) has 96 % probability to fail before 2026 and you won't be able to be financialy free.

Do i have your attention ?

I am an Audiobook guy, "Hope to change that in the future" but right now I stay so busy all the time, that audiobooks are really my best option, but I must admit, audiobooks really limit me because I am prejudice with voices...
I found a good copy of "think and grow rich", I liked the audiobook "Crush it"
But like I say its frustrating finding voices I like, that's why I liked "The Millionaire Fastlane " The voice kicked a$$ and sounded like a guy just talking to me. With that said I Like reading books as well because I am not so prejudice with the voice in my head.

As long as you're taking action and not in "analysis paralysis" mode, reading books can save you hundreds of hours of trial and error.
Plus... ideas.

I just picked up a copy of BrainScripts for Sales Success - Drew Eric Whitman

(The same guy who wrote Ca$hvertising).

Seems like a good read.
Let me know how it is ... I've read Ca$hvertising 3 times and it's a brilliant resource.

Right now I'm reading or finishing:

- Brainfluence - Roger Dooley (interesting but similar to Cialdini's Yes! 50 ways book)
- The Like Switch - Jack Schafer (the audible version is brilliant!)
- Growth Hacker Marketing - Ryan Holiday
- Decisions - Jim Treliving (great auto from a Dragon's Den member about launching the biggest restaurant chain in Canada [Boston Pizza]. Recommended.)
- Traction - Gabriel Weinberg
- Losing My Virginity - Branson (auto-bios are always stuffed to the brim with life lessons)

"It's Okay to Be the Boss" by Bruce Tulgan. Quite interesting for anyone that plans to be the boss, or might be already. Checked it out from the library but liked it enough to order a copy from Amazon to keep/reread/highlight.

Halfway through Losing my Virginity but I realise I'm not a big fan of autobiographies like this.
Almost finished The Definitive Book of Bodylanguage - this is amazing, definitely a recommendation to everyone.
The book covers so many points on bodylanguage, facial expressions, etc, I'm going to have to read it atleast 1 more time to try and remember all the lessons.

I've finished Altucher's Choose Yourself, Nice fast and hard hitting read. So I've swapped it out for something a bit different:

Richard Bandler's "Using your brain for a change".

I haven't looked into NLP too much, so want to try reading a few things about it to see if it is something I can add to my arsenal.

96 out of 100 businesses fail, but that doesn't mean that the 4% have the same chance of failing than the rest.

Play it smart and you'll never see that "96%" statistic knock on your door.

Just finished reading "The Millionaire Fastlane " for the second time and "The Secret of Selling Anything" by Harry Browne.

In the process of reading "Getting Everything You Can Out of All You've Got" By Jay Abraham

I'm curious, how often are books getting read a second time? I've read a lot of books in the past few years but am realizing that while I've consumed a lot of material, not all of it was digested ;)

Awaken The Giant Within by Tony Robbins. ( Also watched the documentary on NetFlix about him...very moving ) And....a Summary of the book. This will take a while to get through because to really take advantage of it, learn, and give it a go, there are exercises and LOTS of thinking. So far...lovin' it !

How about Robert Chialdani's Influence books?

I struggled to read that. Finished it but it took around 2 months. The small text didn't help.

I give it 2.5/5 - there are some good topics covered but just not enough depth for me.
