    Cringe thread

This is a cool story, Fox! Resonates with me as I also went to Edmonton (after being in Banff for a year and a half), with aspirations of landing an oil job. Fun times, lived in a van with a buddy. We eventually got jobs and things were alright, but yeah, it was tough at times.

Fed Up With Your Country? Where Is Left to Go?

    HOT!
This is great info, thanks @masterneme! I'm here currently waiting for a "pre-brexit" 5 year visa--I was here prior to January 2021, which is when Brexit came into play. Again, very interesting and something to dig into.

Fed Up With Your Country? Where Is Left to Go?

    HOT!
Although I do wonder if it's still worth while to get the 5year visa still, as it could be used as a stepping stone to the rest of Europe? I'm from the UK.

Fed Up With Your Country? Where Is Left to Go?

    HOT!
Thanks for the reality check. It's easy to see somewhere with rose coloured glasses as an outsider, who doesn't follow any news, or has a great understanding of the language. I feel my time is coming to a close with Spain (relationship has failed), so maybe for the best I haven't fully integrated.

I like the sound of Bulgaria, with it's low cost of living and 10% tax rate.

Do You Enjoy the Place Where You Live?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
Absolutely--the mountains here are decent. As for the cold, I'm great with it. Some time ago, in my adventurous early 20's, I lived in the Canadian Rockies for a couple of years and loved it; mountains with snow are breath-taking, not to mention the winter sports... This is an extremely...

Do You Enjoy the Place Where You Live?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
Currently residing around the Valencia region in Spain. I like most things around here; food, the nature close by, the sea and the city itself. Coming from living in London, the overall quality of life is much better here. Seeing as I'm not fully integrated nor fluent in the language, I'm not...

    Flipping Apartments in Spain

    REAL ESTATE
Cheers--that's a good piece on info to dig into. I'm in the Valencia region, down the road--maybe there are similarities in the areas (Spain, so you never know!). Thanks,

    Flipping Apartments in Spain

    REAL ESTATE
Hey All, Having been hanging out in Spain for some months now (my better half is from here), I have been thinking about various value creating projects I could do from here. Occasionally, there are apartments that come up for sale at very good prices - the kind of money I could pay off...

    How did YOU find "Fastlane"?

    HOT!
Saw MJ's name mentioned on the James Jani Youtube channel, and being a consumer of various financial/entrepreneur books (mostly of the slower lane variety), I thought I would give it a go. Safe to say, I'm glad I did!

    Eye opening

    INTRO
Hello, thought it was high time I did a proper intro. I've been reading the forum for a few weeks now, since completing Unscripted, and have in that time finished The Millionaire Fastlane; talk about a couple of eye opening books. For the past several years, I've been a freelancer/limited...

    INTRO
First post from me, I've been lurking and reading (didn't do a proper intro). All the best with all this. Your story resonates with me; while I have never made any real money with music or it's surrounding practises, I've always done it and never wanted to comprise on it. Similar to you, part...
