  • I dabble but am not good at committing. Also, I did like Vegan Before 6, but I avoid soy since I'm a female of a certain age. Appetite for Reduction by Moskowitz and Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen by Klein are going to be my go to's this year. I have a lot of the Thug Kitchen cookbooks and will start incorporating them as well. Can't wait to hear how well it goes for you! 2/2

I’m following the Dr. McDougall plan so having no oil is important. It takes some getting used to. I found that many of the Thug Kitchen recipes use oil. Happy Herbivore is another series of cookbooks that have great recipes.

    Best of luck!

Hi, read your goals for 2019. Another good resource for plant lifestyle is The Veggie Queen. Get an Instant Pot...it really helps with making the whole grains. Lorna Sass has a good book as well for pressure cooking vegetarian. 1/2

Thanks for the tips @LaraJF! I have had an Instant Pot for a few years and love it. I just recently got a Breville Smart Oven Air while it was on sale and have been making a lot of baked potatoes and sweet potatoes, no-oil French fries, and homemade whole wheat pizzas with it.
