    Lessons Learned from The Fastlane

    GOLD! MINDSET
I have learned you must embrace uncertainty and move forward anyway. Andy Stanley once said that generally speaking you're probably never going to be more than 80% certain. Waiting for greater certainty may cause you to miss an opportunity. Perhaps thats what separates the top 1% from...

Qs: Starting a Natural Health Forum?

    WEB/DIGITAL
What research are you referring pointing to issues that others have had? What about curezone.com? That's a forum all about natural treatments and it's huge. Maybe study their site for clues. WebMD - it's biased toward allopathic medicine and anything like that is funded by Big Pharma...

100 Reasons to join the Fastlane

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
    67. To cure the itch of boredom, lack of challenge, and upward limitations that come with a job. 68. Because the alternative is making excuses about why things cannot be and that is damaging to the psyche... 69. Because someone has to be at the top creating the jobs and stimulating this...

    American Express Platinum Business Card?

They should make a commercial about this card like the MC "priceless" commercials. Waiting tables I would occasionally handle these cards and I knew the holder was a big dog...

    Warren Buffett on MSNBC

    EXECUTION
Warren Buffett is fantastic. I've read a few of his books and annual reports and find he is a great business person. Buffett's tenants are great as he looks at investing in businesses not stocks. He's humble partly because he loves what he does. To Buffett - money was just the outcome.

    Success Story: Mark Cuban

    EXECUTION
Re: Success Story: Marc Cuban Cuban is the real deal. Gotta love his honesty about partying and having a beat up car and all the other struggles in the past. I respect him because he's real. He's a public figure and still is willing to admit to all this.

    Start a global business?

Has anyone here ever thought about starting an international/global business? (Or at a minimum a business that after started in America, will be able to be expanded globally) Let's assume primarily e-biz as it seems most viable. I ask as I'm reading "The World is Flat" by Thomas Friedman...

Worth trying to buy existing e-biz?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Is it worth trying to buy an internet business that's already running if I have a small budget i.e. say $5,000? The web can be very low cost-of-entry but when looking to buy an existing business off a forum like sitepoint.com marketplace all I see is junk mostly. Perhaps I'm living in a...

I met them on the internet?

    HOT!
:iagree: This is one of the most powerful insights I've learned over the years. Everybody sees the world differently. Just because I think it's good for me doesn't mean it's good for everybody. People have different skill sets and desires. That's the biggest problem I have with network...

I met them on the internet?

    HOT!
I too don't talk too much about what I am getting into. I have a few select people that I can but most no way. Most just have too much of an employee or self-employed mindset. One of the most critical lessons I've learned is be careful to take advice of those who have a different mindset...

What is the lowest point in your life you can remember?

    OFF-TOPIC
Up to this point - in 2001... My Grandfather, who was like a father and mentor to me, passed away in October 2000 of a sudden brain aneurysm. My family and I spent the whole week in the ICU together before he passed. Some even slept there overnight. I was in college at a big university...

Start a biz just to gain momentum?

Would anyone suggest starting a small internet business just to take action and get some momentum going? I think I've fallen into analysis paralysis and I'm thinking of taking a decent idea and building a website and just getting going on a small scale. I'm thinking internet because it could...

Does having a "good" job deter you from the hunger to succeed?

    HOT!
Re: Does having a "good" job deter you from the hunger to succeed The actual amount of salary is subjective. The whole point of the OP was to determine if a "good job" holds one back because of complacency stemming from comfort - not strictly income dependent. Even things like if you enjoy...
