Let's start off with a little backlog:
I am currently working for a gutter/roofing business and working part time with a SEO/Marketing business. Quite the dastardly duo if I do say so myself. I have learned loads of diverse skill sets from the gutter biz, surprisingly. I used to be shy, quiet, and fearful. Nowadays, that's just a distant memory. It has forced me to grow as a person and push limits that I previously didn't think I could. I am thankful for that, but the time has come, to reach for my true potential.
The SEO job on the other hand, is an opportunity which has rejuvenated my entrepreneurial spirit and brought me back to the "real" world. I'm learning many new skills, which again, are incredibly valuable to me and the goals I plan to conquer. Being a bit of a techie, everything just kind of makes sense, and I am finally putting the countless hours of reading marketing books to use.
Yesterday, the two jobs kinda met in a way. I am working on a campaign for the gutter business involving SEO, SMO, and CPC. The big deal for me is, the paid knowledge. Knowledge I can use on future projects and campaigns, knowledge I can use on my own projects. Be it eCommerce, lead generation, or any future business, they will all need the skills which I am honing now. Perhaps this isn't the biggest step forward, but in my opinion, it is the most quintessential.
Big things are coming, the machine is oiled and fueled, and ready to travel.
