Default My Plan: Starting With Less Than Zero to 2 Million In 2 Years

First things first... MJ's book is one of the finest success books I have ever read and I am so glad it has led me to this forum. I have always avoided starting one of these goal oriented threads because over the years I have seen so many people want to make a million only to watch them flop or never post again.

After reading the JackEdwards thread I knew I had to jump in the deep water again and I think
this thread will help me and hopefully a few others that are starting with less than zero.

    My Project Rules:

    a. No Borrowing
    b. No Partners
    c. No Receivables
    d. I only post just a few updates per week.
    e. I do not post specifics that will jeopardize my project.

    My Goal:
Starting with less than Zero muscle my way to 2 million in 16 months and during the process
lose weight and grow some hair.

    Update 1
The Start: Start up Funds: Less than Zero and
I need to make $300 by Thurs. or my wife is going to kill me,
I am still too fat and my hair is thinning more just thinking about the enormity of this.

I will update as things progress.

Good luck to you. You can do it, trust me. We started negative $200,000+, we had a long way to go just to get to back to zero. We also had a no partners, no credit cards, no vc money and no loans policy...cash only through our own sweat. We wanted to owe no one. I'll check back to see how its coming along. Hang tough, don't give up, and your wife won't kill you.

    I LOVE your determination.

BUT....I see a problem. Your goal is not to make 2 million dollars. There is no such thing as "making money". Money is just evidence/proof of your contribution of value to society. Your goal is to DELIVER $2 million dollars worth of VALUE to consumers needs/wants in 2 years. I would start off with small goals with small intervals of say 3k, 5k or 10k. Thats how I saved a little over 80k in 2.5 years from my NON-fastlane battery business. Every battery sold was one step closer.

Good luck to you on your journey. It all starts with one step. Stay focused and fail forward.

Don't chase the money, create it instead.

Sue your kind words really helped me get through a low point last week, Jack thanks for saying hello.

I have been working hard the last week to create a steady weekly income that does
not have massive demands on my time so I can move forward with my new company. So this is what I did. I created working relationships
with a few local businesses that sell higher priced products. The arrangement was this... If I bring you a buyer that purchases their product
they will pay me a $300.00 fee no results no charge. With that established I have been advertising their products on Craigslist. I only need
to generate a few of these sales per week to keep the wolves away and it will not consume lots of my time. I have located a product I am going to purchase and test this week. The product cost wholesale is $100 should be able to sell to businesses for $200. If it sell without a struggle I will move forward in setting up (corp, company address, Voicemail) total
    cost $425.00

JL I understand not chasing the money, I have done that too many times its hard to catch isn't it?

Dude I agree with you on delivering x amount of value, how true. On the smaller amounts I am going to have to set my aim a bit higher, this isn't my first rodeo so I am throwing the long ball.
