    Default A Viable Business?

I have (what I think is) a solid business idea that I was hoping to get some feedback on. I am hoping this forum may indulge me & see if this is - indeed - a worthy investment of time & resources.

I am a multimedia content developer. I have produced articles, graphics, audio, video & photos/images for sites and a host of other avenues. That is my passion & my love - but it is a valuable skill set that I know there is a market for.

I see this going in 2 directions:

1.) Create an online property that talks about trends in multimedia content development.

To help others see that they have to look at their online business as a platform besides a standard blog by creating content in a variety of formats including graphics, audio & viedo. I want this to be more than the standard web designer/content developer. I am looking to create projects of value by creating courses on content that builds businesses.

2.) Create an online property that helps others build exceptional information products.

It seems like so many have a great idea for online businesses & digital products that never come to fruition. A big part of that is figuring out how to create a solid product and/or packaging the information they are looking to sell in a way that generates significant income. I would take my skills in content development & create the online homes and products for these would be entrepreneurs including audio, video, text, images. I wouldn't charge a fee for these services upfront. Instead, I become a partner for whatever we sell.

Again, these are the two main ideas I have & I would love to hear feedback other than the constant backtalk in my own head.

Any feedback would be welcome & appreciated.

    Thanks so much,
    M

Either works. Whichever idea can get you a paying customer is the one to run with. Start selling and let the market tell you which business is viable. Market feedback is the best feedback because it is backed with cash (as opposed to opinions).

    Hi Malina,
I am also into content creation - mainly book writing and blogs. There is such a need for help with packaging 'sprucing' up individual experts content so they can make a viable info business, so No. 2.

If you look into your decision to being a partner rather than a service person, I am not sure if most people have the affiliate technology to be able to do this. Also you would end up selling all manner of things. I have a web design partner who is fab at ebook covers and optin boxes, I think package deals and low priced one-off items (listed with $) are really good but that is just my opinion.
