Thread: 2012 Plan - Feedback Welcomed

So here's the plan. Build A website designed to help people understand what it means to be an entrepreneur. We would interview "everyday entrepreneurs" people who have made a million + dollars, but not the uber-rich.

I'm not sure where it would go, but eventually I'd like to compile the interviews into a comprehensive plan to become an entrepreneur. I know that this won't work for everyone, but I think there are a lot more entrepreneurs out there than businesses and there's an untapped segment of the population who just need a push to get started.

Have you ever heard of Andrew Warner or his site, Mixergy.com? Interviewing successful entrepreneurs is essentially what Mixergy is all about. Maybe you should check it out, see what you think you could do better or differently and then go from there.

I have checked out his site. He seems to take the approach of interviewing high-profile business owners and selling their information.

My idea is to interview more "average" startup founders and share their advice for free, monetizing the site through email marketing.

I believe it sounds really good, just make sure to do your research prior to creating the site, as Trevor and even MJ mentions in the book, see what exists and see how you can "perfect" it. Do surveys - see how people would respond to something as such and you'd beable to steer your vehicle of information in a direction totally beneficial to you and the ppl being interviewed, along with the ppl who would be utilizing the site. Other than that, this sounds cool. Apply your fastlane knowledge and blaze!!!

been done a hundred times. even the everyday approach.

couple questions to consider,
1. can be done differently, better, cheaper, faster?

2. how are you going to get in front of the right audience? how are you going to Cost effectively drive traffic?
