Thread: Image Diary : A n00bs Journey To Business Startup

Right off the Bat
Please do not hesitate to comment or provide feedback in this thread, i want to create something that is quick and easy to read (for you guys!) and quick and easy to post (for me guy!) while still acting as something productive in my downtime.

What follows will be a drip feed of my progress from day1 (currently day 100andsomething), so expect frequent updates via small posts and pretty images

"Bringing the Community Together"
The goal is to create something that will bring the car community together and provide transparency to all events that happen within it, aka a social network with a few nice tools, making finding clubs, meets, events and like minded enthusiasts as easy as looking at your facebook news feed wall.

so lets begin...

- My New Office -

So after handing in my notice and the last day of work now behind us, I'm greeted by my new office desk ... looks very similar to my.... oh wait... it is my gaming PC. A few bits of "sensible" software installed among the gigabytes of games and say hello to where I will be spending the majority of my time (if that wasn't already the case to begin with).

Note pad at the ready and I'm set to crack on with my new business tomorrow .... just kidding, no time like the present, lets get off this forum and start the project!

And in the BLUE corner!

Now i knew there would be some competition, but i also know that the entry barrier for such a website is still quite high, yes there are some "out of the box" social network software packages out there, but i also know (having looked into that route) that they are all terrible, or at least for the website that I have in mind, and yet i find that almost all of the major competition I'm going up against to have used said software, needless to say, they have yet to "blossom".

On writing this, 3 of only the handful of competitors I'm going up against have thrown the towel in and not to sound arrogant, but what I'm left going up against is much like a fight between a heavyweight and a light. Still on assessment i learnt many things in which i can do to "be the best", mainly through what to avoid doing!
