My Progress Thread!

Hi Everyone,

So I figured I'd follow in the footsteps of many here and post a progress thread to keep myself motivated and those reading entertained.

My dad runs a web development company and so being brought up around this area of things, I've learned more than I thought I ever would about the subject.

I always here him having this issue and he's not the only one ( I checked around other forums and I do freelance design as well).

Need:

Usually it takes multiple meetings just to figure out what a client is looking to achieve with their website. Call after call, email after email, IM after IM. Just to get that original design finished. Not to mention further last minute changes after this. Solution:

Create an online system that:


- Allows clients to visit the developers custom control panel, *easily* enabling them to give the exact details of what they want on their website through a unique panel layout/questionnaire process. Similar to both turbotax and basecamp. A sort of hybrid that has a new layout. It will build an example wire frame based on the specs that they want.



(This will replace the preliminary questionnaire that most designers massive amounts of time trying to communicate with their clients about)



-Gives clients peace of mind that their project is in their hands, thus leading to a massive decline in the amount of assurance calls/emails.



-Allowing the developer to handle all of your clients projects in a beautifully designed, easy to use dashboard.



Basically this online software will enable all developers to cut down on huge amounts of time running in circles. And as we all know, TIME IS MONEY.

So far I have developed a basic landing page to gauge interest, and am currently designing a preliminary ad words campaign.

Alright an update,

I refined my landing page with some changes to buzz words. I am also refining my ads to receive a better click through rate.

Will Update with how that goes.
