MAJOR financial milestone crossed yesterday. With retail seasonality, it was expected but exciting none the less.

When I worked at Wal-Mart corporate offices, they had a business discipline I think I will implement. Every month, every exec did a monthly recap (they called it a "correction of errors") for the following year. Other people here on this forum call it a business journal. It creates an interesting journal entry of how the month went... how the seasonality went, how the business cycle was for that month, and what you could have done better that month to achieve even greater results. I think I will start to keep a private entry now. For larger corporations, this helps them plan how they will annualize significant milestone events.

Our financial milestone for December 2011 tells me the trendline for 2012 looks like we are on track towards the 30 month objective.

atown - thanks for your note! The horse will most likely stable at Canterbury Downs in Shakopee, MN (while I am going back and forth to Maui!)

If anyone gets to Minnesota this year, I will let you know what horse we start with as I plan to take a fractional ownership stake this year in a stakes level horse at the track. (knowing me, my % will be the butt end of the horse).

I had a % interest in an old nag 2 years ago... lost every race we entered her in. Not going that route again.

My 30 month plan (so, the year after next) is we will have full ownership, hopefully in a colt... and Vigilante will be in the name. I will keep you posted. That horse will be a WINNER.

Today was a milestone day.

I am proud to be shipping our products to a division of the U.S. military serving overseas. These are the men and women who fight to protect our freedoms. I am honored and humbled that our products were selected to contribute to the well being of our U.S. armed forces.

This milestone marks one of the most significant days in our company's young history.

And the clock keeps rolling :

P.S. for those of you in Minnesota, if you get to Canterbury Downs this summer... look for RJ Tisheba's Syn. He's a three year old gelding, and he'll be running every few weeks starting in late May at Canterbury. I bought a partial interest in him to learn the horse business as I move towards my exit strategy.
