Default How to find good guest bloggers?

Right now i am reaching out to people who have a decent sized online business with customers that trust them and continuously engage in their business.

The site im running ive noticed so far that people have trust issues within the industry. I have realized by associating myself with known people/brands sign up conversion rates will be much higher and big names will be more likely to do JointVentures with me as well as associate with me in general (onsite, syndications, social media)

So right now i am considering it a priority and the main focus, again all of my efforts will be leveraged by higher conversion rates once i have other people involving themselves with me such as blogging on our site/mentioning us on the social media pages.

I have gotten a hand full of people to say yes i will guest blog for you even though i have literally 100x more members than you, a big following and you have almost none, it may sound easy but im happy about it so far, this means they are putting their name on the line because we are offing a paid service so if we did something wrong we could potentially damage their name/image.

The goal here is not to gain members but i noticed we will get a few here and there,t he strategy is to build credibility, so if i had MJ blog for my site it would mean if MJ is associating himself with my brand (hes not, but an example)

These people mentioning on the twitters and such im sure wont hurt, but again i do not intent to gain members like this. I have noticed once you get one person to mention you you can approach a bigger person and say hey MJ knows me and talked about me, i think we can do some JV together, and so on and so on, and it really helps.

Considering the process will not make me money but help build the brand, make some online friends how do i scale this?

I have noticed the reason people are ok'ing my offers its only because i know them well and can get personal with them because i actually use their product or service. The river has run dry and i need to reach outside of these people, i absolutely hate researching all day though. Now is it realistic to outsource this entire process, because i do not have time to focus on it and i truly hate researching these people, i dont mind writing to them, but i do hate researching all day. I want to do this strong for a few month and get about 12-15 quality people to blog for my site per month. If i do outsource this i am concerned about outsourcers approaching my direct competitors and not even realizing it.

I realize once i have these people i can leverage social media much more because there will be trust/ my conversion rates will be higher (due to trust), and maybe i will gain a few customers, but again i want to just set it up so i have someone continuously helping me with the process. At the end of this process even though it wont mean much, it is one step closer to helping my brand differentiate from the other bullion sites out there. Thank you in advance. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and Happy Mothers Day if it applies.

I would definitely suggest starting a blog of your own and posting some good articles on it. That way you have something to show if the blog owner wants to see your previous work. You don’t have to have a huge archive – just some pieces that demonstrate your writing quality.

If you have a good site, they will begin contacting you. At least that's how I find mine.

This has been my experience in the past, too. A way that I've gotten some pretty decent guest posts in the past is on LinkedIn Q&A. Expect to provide your guest blogger with a guest post, too, though. Many times people want you to reciprocate.

ok, here is the short cut of waiting till you have great shit

    1. put together a vision statement of where your site is going, and why anyone would care.
    2. put together a very short goals for the site sheet. (within the next 4 months we expect to spend upwards of 50K in advertising for people to find the site...) or something like we are going to do over 4K in SEO directed at our audience of....

    now
Go to Haro, (help a reporter out) or petershankman.com

    and post a "interview requests"
I did a mini write up here to show you how we use the site to be experts, what we did differently this time was simply to post a request.
    for experts

    http://www.thefastlaneforum.com/gene...tml#post182817

follow that. we did it and in the span of about 10 days we had over 20 experts we were talking to in a very specific niche, and had great conversations about what we expected from them, and what they got in return.

THERE WAS A CLEAR STATEMENT OF VALUE WE GAVE THEM SO THEY COULD UNDERSTAND THE BENEFITS THEY GOT FROM THE

Don't make them guess, Don't make them have to try to figure out the angle, inform them what they get out of it.
for us, it was our massive ad spend, and they get to share in the traffic. and All I required of them was 2 articles a month, at 1K to 1500 in words. NOT SEO JUNK but the best quality they could produce. and YES they could use old stuff, as long as they tweaked it for our site, and made it customized.

doing this we got some TOP TOP TOP guys to come on board. it absolutely surprised me who was willing to do it. but we had a clear message.

    that's the key guys.
    Clear message.

    hope that helps

Today, I just began checking out a relatively new site, Seek or Shout. It looks like it might be a neat way to come up with new article ideas and meet potential sources. I'm using it for that aspect and for potential PR since there are (supposedly) journalists there who are looking for sources, too.

MyBlogGuest and even better, a google search for "site: "guest post" KEYWORD" brings up a list of relevant sites.

Also try other combinations such as "guest author," "guest posted" etc.

Don't ask good bloggers to write a guest post. Ask them if you can interview them first and post that.
You might have to work your way up the food chain.
Find a not too big blogger to work with you and get a referral for others from them.
    Work up from there.

Agreed with what Jon stated above. I own a company that has done thousands of guest posts on behalf of clients and I can safely say that if you create a "Write for Us" page, those of us out there looking to place content will find you very, very quickly.
