    Default Bulk Email

I spent a lot of time trying to find the best bulk email client for my email list. If anybody else needs a good service then I suggest looking into MailChimp.

The two big services that I narrowed my search down to are MailChimp & ConstantContact. I start using CC then my free trail expired. I couldn't justify paying $15 per month for a service that I use one-two times per month. So I went over to MailChimp to give it a try. I think they allow for a greater number of free emails than CC. I was able to email over 300 people on my list. They make the process very simple, I think 5 steps. And MailChimp has a friendlier design than Constant Contact.

So yea, if anyone is looking for something like this then take a look at MailChimp, I'm very happy with them so far. However, if all of the emails start landing in spam then I take that back.

-I do not work for mailchimp. This is not an advertisement.

    Update*

Looking over my statistics -- I had 18 bounces for the emails that I sent, which isn't too bad. 8 were soft bounces and 10 were hard bounces. I think that some of them had to do with the fact that a few email addresses are fake or entered wrong.

So I guess that is a good sign for Mail Chimp

    Another Note**

The list shows a ton of cool statistics. I can see things like who opened the email (so I can spy on my friends), how many times they opened it, it shows my social reach on twitter & FB, it shows my geographical reach..apparently I have members on my list from Alaska, and a bunch of other stuff.

Constant Contact probably has the same information, but I found all of the stuff hard to find on that cluttered site.

GUI hell for both. Dealing with the freebie members by MC must be a nightmare, but it sure gets them links and mentions, so it's a rapid list growth strategy.

CC as far as I can tell is smacking MC in terms of profitability by a huge margin. Gimmicks can be gimmicks only for so long - I am sure they are actively looking for liquidation very soon.

agreed. It seems to be what they are going for. My email has a big MailChimp logo in the bottom right corner haha
