Default Giving freelancers access to an email account?

I have my business's website hosted in hostgator and use my cpanel to access my email. I use roundcube to read and send emails for the site.

Is there a way for me to make a new email account that can be accessed by a freelancer without giving them access to my cpanel.

Sorry for the basic question but computers are not my specialty.

    Thanks

Here's a link to hostgator port number. Commonly Used Port Numbers « HostGator.com Support Portal

So, for example, you need to create a new email account for your freelancer with cpanel How to create email account in CPanel Hosting? - Techie Corner

Once, this is establish, you may ask your freelancer to go to your website.

    1. Let's say your freelancer is johndoe.
    2. You website url is http://www.yoursite.com
    3. Ask your freelancer to goto, http://www.yoursite.com:2095 or http://www.yoursite.com:2096 to access his webmail.
    4. Ask him to enter his login "johndoe@yoursite.com" email and password, then he can check up on his email.

    Best of luck!

The other way is to create an email account using cPanel as described by Rodney above and send them to your yourdomain.com/webmail that's how I've done it for all mine. Test it to see if you get to your webmail that way and if you do it'll work for all email accounts and it's easier to remember "my domain slash webmail".
