Live Help for your website.
Has anyone added live help to your site? I feel there could be many cons, like tire kickers or people who would have signed up, you may end up talking them out of it. It seems cheap, and makes you look like a big company, anyone have feedback or experience? thank you.

I have had this option about 3 yrs ago. Changed my site and not redone. I find that it can be helpful but can also put the customer off. It's like walking into a store and you just want to browse and someone pounces on you and you feel pressured to buy. I find people use my contact page. I had this re-designed to drop down on every page and it works really well. If they want more help they generally call. I may have it again and your question has made me address it. I would just advise to have it pop up after a few mins of browsing to say can I help you? Or a static one saying live chat available?
