    Default Any good free alternatives to Google Analytics?

    So Google has annoyed me so bad that I'm working towards freeing myself of the beast. Consequently, I'm wondering if there is a competitive product for Google Analytics that I can use and scrap Google.

    I use Google Analytics as well. The only two free one's (or at least they offer free versions) that I know of are;

    StatCounter (StatCounter Free invisible Web tracker, Hit counter and Web stats)

    Site Meter (Site Meter - Counter and Statistics Tracker)

    Yes, there's a fantastic one, it's free and open source:

    Piwik - Web analytics - Open source

    You may see the demo in action straight away:

    Piwik › Web Analytics Reports

    It's self-hosted - you need to install it on your server (I may be able helping with such stuff),
    but I also think they started offering some version where they host it for some fee, which would be the best
    and headache free solution.

    Checkout Mixpanel - Mixpanel | Real-time Web Analytics, Funnel Analysis

    Depending on your traffic and what you track it would be free.

    I enjoy using Clicky (Web Analytics in Real Time | Clicky). I would have recommended whos.amung.us, but changes to the free accounts makes it less that useful. There's a few nice iPhone apps that use the API, and it's great if you have the volume of traffic so you can take advantage of their "Big Screen" mode (see what's happening on your site - actions, bounce rate - in real time). It's simple, free, and looks really nice.
