Thread: Can anyone tell me

Why this looks right when I view it through WP Direct but when I go straight to the site it looks all messed up?!!!

this is supposed to be links for horse rentals here in Iceland,but something is wrong.And I'm sure it's a tiny detail that I'm missing

I'm using wordpress direct.I'm just inserting links.I don't know why that html is there.And why the links aren't working

WHat is it supossed to look like? Also clear the links out of the footer on your template.

this is not specific to your question, but my advice would be to learn to work with wordpress directly in the admin panel, and then use wpdirect. That way you can know how to fix the screwups and can utilize the tool of wpdirect more efficiently.

I think Kurt is on to something. When I was trying to insert Amazon ads into one of my WPDirect sites, it looked fine in WPDirect, but wouldn't work at the site level.

Once I went into the Admin panel and did the post in there, it worked fine. Give it a shot and see how you make out.

I log into Wordpress Direct,start a new post put in the text and links and save the post.I thought that should be enough Sorry for sounding like the total newbie I am.

After opening WPD, click on the link for "Website Settings". Right below the "Theme", just before the Word Press User Name, is a link to the Admin Panel. Click that.

You can also usually get there by typing Index of /.[yoursite].[com/org/info]/wp-admin

thanks guys but it's still not working.I logged into admin and did exactly the same here and got the same results.When WP Direct shows me the page it looks ok.But if I go to the site directly it looks like you see it in my link I have the html for that site if anybody is interested to take a look.I have no idea what to do to fix this.

ok,it looks right on the main page but if I pick "Icelandic horse rentals" in the categories on the right it comes the site that I showed you before. Damn I really have to learn better on all of this!!!
