My rule of thumb is that anything where the main selling feature is "how much money you're going to make" is worth avoiding.

Simply because you don't make money from trying to make money, you make it by being and doing something valuable.

When a product or "program's" main marketing is towards people who want to make more money, then they are looking for chumps and opportunity addicts and therefore not likely providing any long term business value.

My gut feeling gives me the same thing when I use to get publishers clearing house "your a finalist" letters... but I have no proof.

so the idea would be to START one of these systems instead of joining one?

lot's of money to be made of course... FOR THEM!!!

exactly... my philosophy has been that the best MLM or "money making" scheme is YOUR OWN... chances are unless you're a very gifted salesperson that any "it's so easy to make money like I did" scheme is just that... easy for THEM to make money off of YOU...

in my young life I have been presented with and of course turned down all of the following... Vector Marketing(aka CutCo), Quixtar(aka "I have a great marketing opportunity where you can run your own business), College Works Painters(aka an "internship" where you can run your own biz and make $10k+ in one Summer), Noveau Riche(aka... well... lol, the most unprofessionally presented "marketing" opportunity w/ so-called "successful" entrepeneurs in the real-estate game), Learning Annex Weekend Seminar(aka Donald Trump seminar which was a weekend of a bunch of schpiel about real-estate and getting grant opportunities that read like a 2am infomercial, but at the end instead of costing $29.95 w/ money back guarantee most were $600 or more and only a "select few" came with money back guarantees), and last but not least... after posting my resume on Monster and Career Builders plenty of insurance sales "opportunities" including Aflac...

needless to say, I don't even give any of this garbage the time of day, although the time wasted on going to any of these seminars is time in my life I wish I had back

I haven't looked it over yet, but you'd want to start by NOT using another companies logo. Copyright, not write!

There are people that make big money doing online marketing, but they seldom share their methods

What about from people who have tried this (or a similar) system? Whether successful or a failure, I'd like to hear from folks with input based on experience, not opinion.

I like this guy! He needs an infomercial! I'll get my people to call his people and maybe we can work out a deal.

If I was making $750K a year, I would not be renting a dumpy apartment like Chris Campbell. I would be renting an apartment in Trump Tower with gold faucets, imported Italian marble floor to ceiling, etc.

I would pick up my 24 carat gold phone and have valet bring my Rolls Royce Phantom up front so I won't have to wait when I go downstairs.

Someone should challenge Chris to prove his income. It would make a good blog story.

My gut feeling tells me that the site is a scam, it reminds me of fire that is trying to draw a moth to it. lots of color, big pictures, and of course a sure fire plan to make lots of money. It plays on peoples wants.

DUDE! I am starting one of these TODAY. I just registered www.RichLike[my name].com! Now I'm gonna get pictures of me sitting on Ferarris and gesturing in front of yachts. I'm gonna build a big ol' pyramid!

So... who's got tips on how to make one of these things work?

    Seriously?

Aren't there enough ways to make money without having to lie and con people out of money? Personally, I believe in karma and honesty

Why start a "diet"? why fall for any "get rich quick" idea/scam? The whole point is statistically 95% of people will never do what it takes to make it to the 5% left most for the reason, "It's to hard" some willful ignorance, very few if any are incapable of doing so, at least in the USA.

Example: I tend to be pretty computer savvy as it is my current source of income. I constantly get bombarded by people (mostly family) who need help with this or that or the other thing. I have tried countless times to "teach them how to fish" but the same thing keeps happening…they don't want to learn. it's easier just to keep asking me or some other tech just like its easier to keep going to work and keep earning that check, or easier to do that MLM or jump on the next fade/scam out there. They don't learn, they don't try, and they don't make a well informed/thought-out decision. Seriously, if everyone out there did their homework on these things do you think that ANYONE would fall for them? Sure some of them might sound good, but 1. if it was that good everyone would be doing it, and 2. if it sounds to good to be true, it generally is.

Same thing with working out/eating healthy (yet another of my shortfalls) if losing weight was all that easy no one would be Fat (obese/portly/horizontally inclined whatever you want to call it) it takes hard work and habit as with most things in life. "A beer belly is not an accident its a result of a long observed and practiced art, and to the Irish, as myself, some would call it a trait of the profession" - anonymous.

Humbug! We have all been smart enough to not join one of these "teams." Can't I just trust people to make the best decision for themselves?

Precisely, so, I could make a "system" that has a landing page like this:

"Whoo hoo! I am so F-ing rich! OMG!!! I have too much money! But don't even try to get rich like me, 'cause it's only for 1337 HAXORZ! OKTHXBAI!

WTF! You're still bothering me to teach you how to get disgustingly rich. Oka-ay, but it's not easy AND it's expensive, so it's only for seriously driven people!

Still interested, okay, click the little PayPal button and send me $4,444.99, and I will send you
PEERLess's 100% Unstoppable Way to Get F-ing Rich!
But it's really hard, so if you fail, it's because you are a dumbass, and it's no fault of my own! Buy now!!

Looks like a typical envelope stuffing scam mutated to the internet... send me $999 and I'll show you how to make thousands per day ... the program? Just do what I do.

The envelop scheme worked the same way ... make thousands stuffing envelopes! Send me $1 and Ill show you how ... after you send the buck, a piece of paper says "Do the same thing I'm doing! Advertise envelope stuffing!"

I've been searching for leads all day but haven't come up with anything. Not sure where you found the info about a travel MLM but I couldn't find it. All I was able to find was the hosting site so I sent an inquiry to the site validity or abuse reports, not sure if it will do any good but I can't think of anything else. Doing a search comes up with 1001 ghost fronts for richandindependent.com but no real leads. No news articles as to the founders or names that could be traceable. No references to speak of that I could find anyway.

That said common sense would stay away from 2 things, a bad rep or no rep.
