    Default leads for investment properties

    What is your best experience in finding leads for investment properties if you invest away from your home area? Those I try to use, are real estate investment clubs, craigslist, FSBO listings, even calling numbers on "we buy houses" street posts. Wonder if I miss anything good.

    A funny post I saw on craigslist "I'm selling this house for 125k today and I'm going to put it on MLS for 150k in 2 weeks"

    In addition to what you are doing I also check out Loopnet and right now I subscribe to RealtyTrac. I haven't had a lot of success with either one yet. I also check the local MLS listings.

    Try to find someone you can partner up with in that area. I'm 'courting' two people right now from different areas, so we'll see how that turns out.
