Read the tread: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/mindset-motivation-choices/42520-whats-your-excuses.html and stumbled into The Foundation. Its been a mentoring group of all sorts of people, the founder mentored them into launching software companies without business or software development experience needed.

Here is an interview with one of the people he mentored: Sam Ovens Case Study: How To Build A Web Based Product Without Any Idea, Limited Cash, Or Development Experience

The System: Short summary for busy people:

1. Sent out 100 emails to people in a business niche, Real estate managers, since they advertised heavily on job search sites, indication of money. Asking them whats their biggest problem in their business.

2. Got back ~24 replies with surface problems, not real.

3. Sent out a new email saying they seems to know their business and would love to have them on the phone for a deeper interview.

SCRIPTS for this can be found on the link above to a PDF in the article under the video.

4. Got them on the phone and asked about a typical day, their problems and got to the deep problems. Channeled it into a way of how software could be used to make their problems go away.

5. Planned the software and showed them to the business people. Got feedback and changed a bit. Then got them to prepay for the software.

6. Got a price from a big software company for making the software, sent the pricing around to other companies to get them compete for it.

7. Launched it, already got customers and grew from there!

Loved the story! An hour + interview with this guy, so I spent last night watching.

To put this strategy on steroids if the software is more general and offers people to solve specific tasks, I got a strategy after someone applied it to me.

A company called me, seeing that I got a customer base. They offered their product to my customers if I would like that. Got templates for an email offer I could send out looking like I had brokered the deal and got all my customers 10% off of the normal price. Then the company followed up, delivered the product and collected money, and gave me a cut of 25% on it. So all I needed to do is send out an email to my list.

So to put this into work to the strategy above. After you got it all set, contact some of the people you interviewed. Ask them about any industri organisations they are a part of. Contact the organisation and get them to email it to their members, if you got a great product and they can test it first it would be no problem.

I hope this helps many! :)
