Default Is anyone here a member of Entrepreneur's Organization?

The dues are expensive, over $4,000 in my area. Anyone have any experience with them? I've found very little talk about them online which makes me suspicious

I would be interested in hearing responses to this question, as well. A lot of the local entrepreneur organizations in my area are basically just money-makers for the organizers - I don't know if the dues are worth it.

I've never heard of them. I was an organizer for a local entrepreneur club between 2009 and 2010, though. I wasn't the founder, but when I took over management, I never charged dues. We met a coffee shops or Border's bookstores and talked shop.

I made the mistake of trying to turn this casual experience into a business environment with scheduled meetings, a list of topics we would cover each meeting, and a more interactive web presence. Our group was formed on Meetup.com, but I dissolved it when attendance consistently waned.

I would also be interested in opinions on this group. You hear things about them from time to time but it would be cool to see what someone from this forum with experience in the group had to say about it.

Thanks for sharing that experience - I tried to set up an "entrepreneurs" group here. I don't know if there just isn't a lot of interest where I live, or if I just can't find the other "like-minded" individuals in my community. It would be cool to hang out with people that are going in the same direction, even informally. Not that this forum isn't cool
