Poker Tournament Leader Board

I thought This would be a fun way to keep track of the tournaments and give some bragging power. I am completely open to suggestions on this, so lets hear them.

My idea:

1st place: 6 points
2nd Place: 3 points
3rd Place: 2 Points
4th Place: 1 point

Number of tournaments will be in brackets.

I'm really bumming that I haven't been able to make either of the first two tables. Especially with a points tally. I'm going to do all I can to get in on the next tourney.

I was so bummed that I missed the Tourney. I had to stay late at work and tried downloading the poker software here and it was blocked. Damn! They know me so well!

4 people showed for this one. I'm going to try and switch the date and see what type of response we get.

damn. I should have signed up. I don't know poker from go fish but I love placing even if you are a no show!!! Lets plan the next one for... say.... 3AM on new years day? Maybe I could get first!

I'm thinking Sunday for the next one. Try a weekend date to see if we can get a better response. If not I'll try Monday again. We have 6 or 7 on the Monday tourney.

It's tempting to just sit out and let the blinds take JesseO out, but we're poker players and we just gotta play our hands. Even if it means going all in with 78s.

Is that leader board right? Do we get 1 point + our placing points?

well...I thought about not awarding points to those that miss out...really doesn't matter to me either way.

Jesse, I meant that we all knew if we played conservative long enough we'd at least get 3rd place and get our money back. So we could either go all in when reraised holding QQ preflop or fold. It just depended on if you wanted to be aggressive or wait for 3rd.

I was just looking at my score, I went from 17 to 21 which means I got 4th place (3 pts) and Participation (1 pt). I thought I would only get 4th place points (3 pts). That's all I meant.

If we do get the extra participation point, then all our scores are messed up from the 1st two tourneys. It's no big deal, I was just wondering.

Only the participation points should be off for the first tourney. I honestly have no idea who played. If I need to fix any points, please let me know, I am all ears.
