    Default Funny coincidences

My wife and I recently moved and have been slowly meeting neighbors as we see them outside. We had each "met" our neighbors directly behind us at separate times and thought they were pretty nice...plus they are closer to our age than the others we had met. Long story short...we went with them to an Irish pub for St. Patrick's Day for some Guiness (no green beer here) and chit chat. First, their names are Rob & Kelly...ours are John and Kelly (no biggie). I find by talking to Rob that he had just started an online biz that went live in January this year...decided to take it full time and now works from home, which leads us into some Fastlane speak as I tell him about the E-biz I'm working on. Then we find out that they got married on THE same date as my wife and I, although a year later. Weird. More things in common came out of the conversations...memory has escaped me for now.

You kinda had to be there to get the full effect, but it sure is nice to be able to talk to someone who is on the same mental wavelength as we are for once.

It's also neat how quickly you can 'click' with people you are meeting for the first time when there is immediate common ground (literally in our case, as well).

I think all of us can relate to this. And especially having a next door neighbor that shares your interests-- that really enhances your quality of life!

Definitely! It also is a good motivator..."hey neighbor, how's the project going?"

Don't want to be at the same milestone every week for a month. lol

Like meeting people at the "B&P", but across the fence.

    A good thing.

I honestly WISH I could find more people locally or had friends that shared my mindset on business and "fast-lane" thinking, it would be great to bounce ideas off of them over dinner some nights! (Part of the reason I love forums like this so much, its easy to find hundreds of you at once!). Most of my friends are my age (early-mid twenties), and are blowing their money month after month not concerned with the future at all (spending fortunes on huge TV's that look out of place in their rented apartments, taking out leases on entry-level luxery cars they cant afford, buying watches/purses/designer clothes, etc. without a thought in the world, etc. With very few exceptions, almost ALL of them are living paycheck to paycheck in the moment, born into that "retire at 65" rule.

Each to thier own of course so I hope no one takes it as though I am looking down on anyone! Just interesting to see the different thought patterns of someone who is contempt in the rat race, and someone who longs to break free from it!
