    Default Need book reccommendations ASAP!

Guys, today I was offered a job from a company in the energy sector that would pay 123,000 per year plus benifits.

    A couple of things.

123k would be extremely rich for me, being 21 I have never expirenced that kind of spending power. I have not even graduated college yet and I have been offered this position because of my expirence in my own venture, which is currently energy consulting and management. I am bringing in about 30k per year right now and I have not really even had time to bootstrap the thing with my last year of college and all.

I need some encouragement as I TURNED IT DOWN because it would have created a conflict of interest and made me give up my business.

I am looking for a book that will get me pumped about living like a poor ass to build a business and retire early vs taking the easy way out and possibly traping myself in a 9-5 5 for 2 job.

What is your business doing for you? Is it a fastlane idea?

I think you already own THE book to give you inspiration. Maybe you should read it again.

Business can grow infinitely and provide residuals. I consider it fastlane.

Going on a 10 day vacation to the Caribbean. I think I'm gonna reread the tmfl while traveling and at night.

I am much more at peace with this decision when I got a new customer today from a referral that will pay me an extra 1000 bucks a month.

Congratulations! Only 9 more of these would equal the offer you received that was mentioned above. And onward and forward from there.

Thanks! The beauty of my business is that I can do whatever I want. No 9-5 crap. Once I land a customer I really don't need to talk much to them any more. I basically make residuals every month.

I'm definately glad I made the decision guys. The instant gratification would have been great. I'd love a new boat, and a new Jeep but I've got a good reliable truck and I can afford a used boat. I'm building it to about 250k per year in residuals. I am gonna hire someone to maintain relationships with the customers and I am gonna retire to belieze and chill on a beach for the rest of my life.

I am hoping with hard work I can get there by age 25.

As long as you keep working at it and build that momentum. You might find that you actually like working once you DON'T have to. lol. Funny how that works.

Good job btw, I'm positive it'll be better in the long run. Too many people (me) have done things for the short-term and paid for it dearly.

I personally enjoy Anything You Want by Derek Sivers. It's the book I go back to anytime I need to be reminded of my goals and purpose.

Might consider moving to a lower cost area if location doesn't have an impact on your business. The average income where I grew up was about 20k per year lol. Might move an hour out of a city if you haven't already.

This as well. If you can grow the business to capture that revenue back in a year or so, then your cruisin.

TMF is what I reccomend. Lots of motivation on the net for free.
