Success is not everything, that is what society wants you to believe so you can fear failure and thus follow black and white rules.

Failure has some limiting social beliefs tied to it because its been turned into a value judgement, but in reality no one can ever be a failure because you can't fail as a person, only fail at things...things that are outside of you. Failing at things is not a brick wall, it is feedback as to what you should improve or change.

So I disagree, I think failure is everything because if you don't fail you will never get to success. By saying success is everything your subconsciously telling yourself that failure is a bad thing and that success is mandatory. That's dualistic thinking. Yeah success should be the goal, but without failing you can never arrive upon the doorstep of success.

Hmm, would I put more value in what a successful person has to say, or what a 12 year old (doubt you're actually 12) hater thinks... Going to go with the former.

It's kinda nice that he/she is still young enough to be able to believe that. Unfortunately real life won't allow you to stay in that delusion long unless someone is protecting you.

Ahhh but if you read the post you would've seen what I actually said

I completely disagree with your theory that "failure is everything"!

By saying success is everything your subconsciously telling yourself that failure is a bad thing and that
    success is mandatory.
Success is mandatory. Since the beginning of time. If the hunter did not catch his prey - he starved. Along with several other people. I would consider success in that situation mandatory.

You will probably argue "in this day and age..." - yes, while we are not necessarily struggling to find food (in this country at least), aren't we struggling to fulfill our other human needs? Security? Variety? Love? Significance? Growth? Contribution? I can't see a valid argument for saying that success in these areas are not mandatory.

    That's dualistic thinking.
I'm sorry, I'm a bit of a simpleton - I don't understand what "dualistic thinking" means... please explain?

Yeah success should be the goal, but without failing you can never arrive upon the doorstep of success.
You are absolutely right, but the rest of your post doesn't match up with this idea my friend!
