I don't get the "do-it-yourself" model. If you have to do it yourself, reluctantly that is, isn't because your are really poor at making money? Isn't better to learn how to make more money so you can then hire a professional to do it for you (so that you can have more time to make even more money)? Isn't that more common sense?
To be patriotic, isn't that a better way of building a strong national economy? If everyone starts doing everything themselfs wouldn't that indirectly, or even directly, shrink a national economy? Am I way of here? If so, please elaborate why I am way of.
I am basing the "national shrinking" idea on lost share market value primairly. Many businesses should directly or indirectly lose revenue and profits because of such a trend and hence lose share market value as a result. Share market value (total value) is after all one of two major factors in determining a nations net worth (the other being the real estate sector). Right? I am open to listen.
I see the "do-it-yourself" solution as a way of avoiding the core problem: Not making enough money. I also see it as way of putting the national economy (All nations are affected by this if it happens) in a recession where people loses jobs etc.
What do you guys think about this?

I only "do it yourself" when I think I will have fun "doing it myself" ... otherwise, I'm calling a professional and paying a few Benjamins rather than wasting 2 days of my life. Thx for the posting.
