    Default progress and planning

After having paid off all our debt I am now looking forward to having our "contingency hedge", namely, before making any more major purchases completing our action plan. Goal: 1 month cash in the bank, 1 month cash in gold, one month cash at home 3 months food supply (our current major expense) As well as having the vehicles repaired and ready. Time frame should coincide with shortly before going to school.

Having a set plan of action really puts things into perspective. I feel a purpose and a sense of accomplishment when finishing a goal and making another. I feel driven to action.

    Action plan = Excellent!

It's important to know where you're headed and what the steps are to get there. Seems like you have a good plan and beyond that you now have a lot more freedom to build yourself up. Taking all the little steps adds up to a lot in the end.

It's a great thing that you have paid off your debt, I hope soon enough I will be done with mine as well. I feel that having that on my back always holds me low. I have always admired people who found creative ways to live without the debt, although sometimes it depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

Just remember to stay flexible and keep it up!

I do my thing and you do yours. I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you're not in this world to live up to mine. If by chance we meet, then it is beautiful. If not, it can't be helped.

    Dear Banthaman

You have a grand plan for if society collapses.

Do you have plan for if society prospers?

Even though we are taking one step at a time I do like to have my bases covered. Currently I'm preparing for my returning back to school for completing my electrical engineering degree which in most part is currently paid for (on my own and with grants). I have investment into experimental energy technologies and am currently involved in the processes soon to be in the prototype phase. For the long term I have Ideas on physical-meets-network gaming technologies (I'd rather not get any more specific than that), as well as doing a few startups. Fairly flexible to economical forecasts, but it also takes time to build the capital especially with 4 little ones under my wing.

    Dear Banthaman

Keep up the god work and keep plugging away. When something needs to be done you are the type of person to give the job to. Busy people get things done.

Raising 4 children, pursuing an electrical engineering degree, and developing an invention is a full plate. It is difficult to develop an invention and keep it a secret too.

Be sure anyone you show your work to signs a nondisclosure agreement.
