Default Have you got that 'winning' feeling & is it important?

Hi all and thank you for your warm welcome to this forum.

I am interested in learning what if anything you do to put yourself into that mindset where you are super creative, highly focused & extremely positive & motivated about what you're doing and how important it is to you in your pursuits & achieving your goals. I don't necessarily mean your business activities, this could be in any facet of your life - I'm talking about any of those times when great ideas flow easily, you can't put a foot wrong, time speeds by & you're excited, enthusiastic & just can't wait to 'get on with it'.

Can you/would you like to be able to get into this 'zone' at will & if so what do you think would help you do so, or do you consider this sort of thing just airy-fairy psycho-babble & you just 'get stuck in & get the job done'?

Thanks in advance to anyone who would like to share their thoughts & techniques...

Well you say winning feeling and coming up with ideas.

I don't know if I ever had 'that winning feeling'

But as for ideas, for me it was all the time when I was running my business. It went on for years, wake in the middle of the night with an idea that I had to write down. At a party think of something for the business had to go to the bathroom to write it down. All the time it wouldn't shut off.

I think it is along the lines when you hear singers or song writers say it was so easy, the ideas just came from no where.

So I think you need to find out what REALLY interests you and that is what will get you thinking of new good ideas.

Besides that for me it was the 100 mile bike ride I would take once a week. After 2 or 3 hours by myself under physical stress the ideas came so fast and furious it was almost annoying.

Thanks for your input Patrick, one tick in the endorphin box. Going back to when you awoke in the middle of the night or at parties, what do you think might have been the source of inspiration at those times?

I am not sure I am understanding.

I believe I have always been like that. I remember being 12 years old and waking with ideas for a business I was doing.

Same thing happened when I was completely obsessed with getting faster in triathlons. The ideas just flooded in. I think it is when you are completely drunk with one idea/passion/dream.

Unfortunately I do not have any dream/passion now but I am looking for one : )

I would have to say that it is seeing other people I know I'm smarter than have success in something i thought about years ago but never acted upon. These days I've recognized that I need to act immediately when inspiration strikes. I have experienced a great deal of success by following my gut instincts. When an idea is fresh in your mind and your brain is working overtime trying to process things, just like Patrick said, the ideas will arrive out of nowhere. It really is a great feeling to be fully engrossed in your creation and each little milestone you meet, every goal you complete just adds more coal to the fire.

If you haven't yet you will find that thing that will just start clicking in your mind. Once you're able to identify it, make sure you take full advantage.
