    Default Motivation ?

Quick question, How do you motivate yourself into doing something you hate without paying someone to do it for you?

It depends if it's a necessity (i.e. "I have to do this to make some initial dough, after I do I will delegate") and a one time thing (unless it's unsuccessful) or if you'll be doing it for years...

Hey, decide then do what needs to be done if it's worth it for you. No one can decide but you...

-You could visualize the terrible outcome if you didn't do it.
-Give a friend $100/prized possession and tell them if you don't finish the certain task by a certain date, they can keep the $100/prized possession

    Hope this helps

It doesn't require motivation at all. It's a business decision, is the effort to find someone and writing a check for them to do the task, more painful than doing it myself and putting myself in a position of having to do it again in the future because I didn't expend the effort and write the check this time around.

Motivation is the most important factor of life to achieve success in any field, you can motivate a person to telling him that he has a different capability to another so he can achieve the things that is not achieved by other person.

Needs more info. Do you want to be where you are, or where you want to be? to get there requires action, some action might not be pleasant, but it needs to be performed. IF you can't do it, then you can't get to where you want to be, so snap back to where you are at that point and reassert.

    Vague questions but..

If your time is better spent doing something else then pay someone to take care of it for you.

If you're just being lazy watch this:

If you still haven't taken care of what needs to be done by paying someone (and better utilizing your own time) or by knocking it out yourself then you're posting on the wrong forum.

What was your main reason for starting the business to begin with?

Try thinking of that same reason to do the chores you don't want to.

By not hating, by realizing that some of the things we do are going to be boring. By realizing that you can do it if you wanted to. By rewarding yourself with something if you get it done. By breaking it down into smaller tasks. By weight the time to do it versus money spent ratio and what else you could be doing with your time. By stopping to think and just doing it.

    That's how I do it.

Even with things I somewhat enjoy I do this- (but also for things I dislike)
I set time limits, and goals, and once I complete that portion of the task I reward myself.
If it's SEO, I'll spend an hour getting done what I want done, and then will "reward" myself with small things. (like now I can have an awesome lunch, now I can go for a walk, meditate etc)
Then it makes it about that one timed task, instead of about how long the whole thing will take (especially if it's a long project!)

Since the question is vague I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for, but I hope it helps

    Warmest,
    -Jaime

I just tend to get lazy at times then realize like that half hour was spent doing nothing productive (facebook,e-mails,tv,etc...). Thanks for the useful tips.

Motivation is the inner power or energy that pushes towards achieving. Motivation has much to do with desire and ambition, and if they are absent, motivation is absent too. If its a matter of doing something that you hate it would not be advisable to do the thing as you have to be motivated in the first place in order to produce good results even without paying someone.

A motivated person takes action and does whatever it needs to achieve his/her goals.

Motivation becomes strong when you have a vision, a clear mental image of what you want to achieve, and also a strong desire to carry it through.

Tell yourself to grow up and then change your expectations. Success, or life, is not all unicorns, flowering knolls, and cotton candy. Success requires hard work, some of which, you will hate. (Think any business owner enjoys filing taxes? Paying taxes? Submitting payroll? Hiring? Firing? Contracting?) Geez, I can think of several dozen things I loathe as an entrepreneur but in the global scheme of things, it is oh so worth it.

Build a reward into it. Something you have really been wanting to buy or do and let that be the reward for getting this task done. No task, no goodie. Associate the goodie with the task and the negative association will die a little. If you don't have something you really want then go window shopping and find something that will be your prize. Good luck and enjoy.
