Honestly, we released on iOS too and the number 1 feature request is an android version. Whatever you know best and can get out fast and efficient, go with that. Both markets are huge.

Post your job on elance and odesk. You will get several dozen applicants. Narrow that down, then start the interview process. Start a social media campaign, create a Twitter page, Instagram page, and FB page for your app. Get active on all 3. Kickstarter doesn't fund apps, but indiegogo...
