December Update

by Alty on Jan 2nd, 2013 at 10:59 AM
Two main things to talk about for December.

Something positive and something not so great.

Starting off with the not so great.

Still waiting to get a signed acceptation of my quote to build a house for a client.

He had a baby son just before christmas, who is now being treated in hospital with bronchitis.

This has obviously pushed his priorities away slightly esp with christmas etc meaning that I am in a bit of a halfway position.

November Competition Entry : Construction Business

by Alty on Nov 3rd, 2012 at 04:31 PM
Things are looking up!

Fueled by this competition I took a jump
at starting my own construction company in France.

Infact here is the link that I posted after my first little job.

I have worked out that I'll need about 60,000 euros

to build a house of about 120m2.

At that size, and with the location of the house

by Alty on Sep 28th, 2012 at 12:47 PM
Ok so where was I?

Last time I posted here I was talking about starting up my own construction business.

That has happened.

And I've got my first few jobs under my belt.

However I've not really had enough to provide a proper income.

So, I have an agreement with my old boss.

He will let me work for him as a freelance builder (of sorts)

when I'm short on work.

I put together some advertising (using

My freelance copywriting business is starting to take off

by Alty on Aug 11th, 2012 at 10:54 AM
Copywriting

Something I've been building up over the last few months is my freelance copywriting service.

Although I've had a notion of copywriting for many years, I actually studied marketing

at college, I never really leveraged my writing to generate income.

Well, that is until recently, and infact I'm starting to get some clients, each one, slightly more interesting than the last.

It's a ton of work, especially as I am normally
