    Default Reading a 10-k or a 10-Q

Ok so i am trying to figure out this 10-Q. It seems pretty straightforward but the numbers are confusing:

INTERNET BRANDS, INC. - Quarterly Report

Are the numbers 1 = 1000 so 24,987 would be 24.9MM? I am not looking to invest in their stock persay but I would like some insight ino the company financials. Just trying to be clear about what I am looking at.

Also, It says their current volume is 22.5k at $6~ a share, is the volume the amount of shares that have been sold?

Maybe i should have titled this post... beginners investing... even though its not the complete intention..

    Thank you!

when it says "in thousands," add 3 zeros to the number listed on the sheets... this is common for p&l's and balance sheets.... this is a helpful tool to breaking down the numbers

I didn't read thru the 10q thoroughly, but the volume of a day's trading is not listed on the 10q (or is it?) but the volume refers to the amount of shares traded... bought and sold.

That is what i kinda figured to just add in that number, some of the numbers didnt look correct.

And the volume was not in that statement, but is it what was traded for that day? or over a certain period of time?

"average volume" indicates the average amount of shares traded during a "session" or within the day

btw, with only a quick glance, that company's quarterly had seem to shown impressive improvement
