Thread: Australian Freedom Seeker

Hi guys, I came across "Fastlane..." while looking for an author's assistant. One guy who I was considering actually helped MJ on this book! I took a look and it was so fascinating I bought the book and devoured it last night.

I'm in the process of writing a book based on my experience as an options trader/teacher who made a lot and lost a lot. I also sold a website I built from the ground up for over 500k. It's mostly all gone now so I guess I was living on the sidewalk for the last 7 years. Yep, that's me in the Lambo. It came as part of the package on a holiday house I rented (when I was walking the sidewalk) but I've always loved yellow hot cars (mostly hot rods - but any cool powerful yellow car is ok by me).

I like what you say in your book MJ and find that we are covering much of the same ground though I will be delving into the "how much is enough" topic as my focus. I developed a universal and global formula for "how much is enough" (at least at the start) as I discovered some interesting things when I was "cashed up" and I want to explore them further. I've already written my book and it received a 100% positive response from dozens of people who read and bought it so I'm encouraged to expand on it further which is why I was looking for a ghost writer which is what lead me to this book and forum.

I've been fortunate enough to have had every day off since 2004 so I know what freedom feels like and I can confirm that it's every bit as good as what MJ describes. Though I never made it to Millionaire I did make it to hundred thousandaire and have experienced some extraordinary explosions of cash. As a way of motivation (not to brag as obviously I'm not in a position to brag about anything right now) but when I sold my (share of) my website for 500k+ that was a good day! Another day we made 85k trading eMinis and I once sold 100k worth of info product in one weekend by threatening to raise the price (which I did) the following Tuesday.

I only mention this to confirm that big cash happens to good people and sometimes unexpectedly so press on guys - it can happen! It happened to me, will happen to me again and will happen to you. As I write this it's early February 2012 and I suspect that many of you who are reading this will experience a cash explosion by the end of the year. Expect it, work towards it, read, read, read and read more, take massive action (one of my favourite sayings) and it will happen. Expect it.

I was a normal clown at school, C Grade at best. Walked out of High School two weeks from the end of year 11, bounced around over 50 different jobs for a few decades, was broke at 39 and retired at 41. Even though (admittedly) I'm starting again and barely hanging on to my freedom (that's all about to change though) I can declare that this book has given me the kick in the arse I needed to get moving again.

Having said that, I have many more stories from my cashed up days if you want to hear them but I hope my best stories are yet to be written. I still have every day off and would love to talk with anyone (skype?) at length about my experiences, to help or to discuss where we will go from here. I'm an experienced web designer (built my first website in HTML by hand in notepad back in '97) and am keen to work with anyone on a new project. I'm not a spectacularly skilled script writer but I'm sure we'll find what we need to get going.

My current goal is to become a motivational speaker and to speak on my favourite subject which is the topic of my book which though has no confirmed title may as well be called "you don't have to be a millionaire to be free". I have nothing against being a millionaire and I expect it will happen regardless but freedom occurs way before the millions come in and if you're free you have more time to spend on your big idea.

I love to talk, I love to write and I love to think BIG! I look forward to being of any use around here I can but mostly look forward to learning from you all. I know you are all going to be huge, will achieve your dreams and live fantastic free lives and I'm fascinated to see how it's all going to unfold for us all.
