Default Hello all, I'm Benji. My Inroduction.

Hi, I'm Benji, I live in the USA and love it, love to travel but love to come home. I just read MJ's book, it's been on the shelf since last summer but I hadn't read it until this week cuz I was spending too much time in the slow lane, and I'm now seeking out my exit ramp into the fastlane. One of the skills I'd like to acquire is web design and programming, I know little to nothing about it but have some plans on how I want to use it so if anyone can recommend good learning resources I'd appreciate it. I've been working my way thru an online tutorial that is great and I'm going to start writing html tonight or tomorrow to learn. Looking forward to being a part of this community and I'm happy to share any expertise or knowledge I have that may help any of you. Thanks for reading,
    Benji

Have you heard of places that contain pieces from trees that have the magical ability to transfer from one mind to the next for those elite few who have the "magical" ability to understand the inscriptions within? These places are usually free to access too, oh my, where could these fairytastical places be located at? Usually at the heart of the town they say, and they have a helpful staff too who have deep knowledge on how to locate certain fields of knowledge, Gee Golly!

I hope my friend this help!

Why does everyone want to learn coding after reading the book?

that's like saying "I just read how Ray Kroc built McDonald's. I better learn how to make burgers so I can create a massive franchise some day"

there are better skills to focus on than "coding" and "website design".

since those are commodity based skills anymore....

I have a few ideas I like to test drive and I cant afford to pay someone to do my programing for me right now. The easy solution is to learn to do it myself, I'm not interested in doing it in a sell time for money situation. Furthermore I might just quit this forum, I certainly don't feel welcome here and the first two replies to my intro are rude, not the kind of people I'd like to surround myself with, and certainly not what I expected.

I'm very new to coding and I will most likely use outsourced web designers for anything major, but as with any skill, sometimes it's just enjoyable to conquer something new and different. I suppose it all depends on whether you view it as a necessity, a nuisance, or a skill.
