    Default Hi Everyone!

Hi everyone! I came across these forums while reading a blog post at another site, and it looks like a great place to discuss our journeys to become wealthy. I'm really looking forward to learning from the wealth of knowledge that is available here, and contributing to discussions as much as possible!

    A little bit about me:

I'm 23 and live in Houston, TX (actually, will be moving back there in a week... right now I'm in NY). I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook em!) last year with a BBA. Since I was in college I've been interested in real estate investing, and have actually bought a three rental properties. After a few months of researching additional opportunities, I've decided to get into rehabbing/flipping houses. I've got a lot to learn, but have a great support structure around me and I'm excited to get started!

Howdy neighbor. Glad you made it here. I wish you well on the fix/flips. I, myself, do rentals.

    Thanks Runum!

Acquiring rentals is actually my long-term goal, but I'm hoping use the fix/flip strategy to generate capital to start acquiring buy-and-hold properties. I'm also considering holding on to a few of my rehabs if they will cash flow correctly.

How is the DFW market right now? Just out of curiosity, how many rentals do you currently have?

    Welcome to the fastlane, BigMO.

Feel free to poke around and make yourself at home.

Hidden in the older posts (esp when the forums first started) is a goldmine of information. Worth digging!

    Again, welcome.

My number of units is constantly fluctuating. I can say I have more than 5 and have been doing this a few years now. Seems like only yesterday I nervously bought my first. I was nervous and giddy at the same time. Old hat now.
