Thread: The brand my blog is about has been in touch...

HeyI have a couple of blogs that generate me a pretty good income. The blogs themselves are essentially reviews and tutorials of a certain brands products. I'm on page 1 right next to the brand on most of the keywords and I'd say I was probably the first place people many turn too for info on the product. Two nights ago the brand got in touch! I have been dreading that email from a long time half expecting them to Ask me to take it down as it may be in conflict with their own community building... As their own forums and support have a poor reputation.Anyways... The have said they loved what i was doing and want to build a relationship and have a few ideas up their sleeves on how we can work together. They even asked me to create a small product for THEM to give away on their Facebook/website to show me some support.These guys are probably the industry leaders in my niche and if you were interested in the niche a 'household' name.This is very cool! Has this happened to anyone before?Is it a Trojan horse... Or is it a potential gold mine?I'm unsure!

Its a good thing, we used to run a "New Year's Resolution" version of our newsletter for health, with a bunch of healthy products listed and reviewed. We got all kinds of cool stuff, mp3 players (pre iPod days), body fat scales, workout programs, books that people sent us to review. Christmas started in October with the Fedex guy bringing stuff almost daily. Work it! Reach out to the brands that you review and ask for stuff to be reviewed. We never accepted direct advertising or cash from the companies we reviewed, we did accept the products themselves.
