PPC for idiots please help!

I am planning on taking my businesses to the next step with the use of pay per click. The problem is I have zero experience with it.

Can anyone recommend some web sites or books that I could learn the process from?

In the mean time I will hire a company to begin the process.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

go through all google adwords tutorials, that should pretty much get you up to spead on the basics.

I wouldn't hire a company ... start yourself and with a small budget. You can't learn if you don't try ... also, knowing some of the "ins-and-outs" will help you when you do hire another company to do it.

There are a lot of forums dedicated to PPC management and techniques. Start there as well.

I agree with MJ, don't hire anyone until you know the basics, there are many many out there that are crap and you won't know which is which. The bad ones will burn your money fast.

If you haven't figured this out already, then here is a quick rundown:

Go to the URL given below (remove the space to create a valid link)
https: adwords.google.com/select/Login

In the next screen click on "Try Adwords Now" - Blue Button.

Follow the wizard and create your account and you will be ready to go.

Just like MJ said, when you begin put a small limit until you understand the system.
