Yes! I thought of an amazing business idea from this just yesterday. I've been searching Twitter for exactly this reason for the past two days. It's amazing how much the result have to do with celebrities!
In the book, MJ talks about building a business around a need. He also says to look for certain phrases people say like, "I'm frustrated when", "I wish there was", etc.. Well I found a site that pulls ideas from people who post on Twitter. It's called twtspire.com
Here's a couple examples from the site:
- "Someone needs to create a dating site for hockey fans. There's one for Jews."
- "wish there was a website you could type in where u live n where u wanna go n it tells u what trains/buses to get at what times"
- "SOMEBODY SHOULD MAKE A WEBSITE that documents all the silly code violations people had been jailed or evicted for"
There's a category for websites and app ideas but sometimes there's some that aren't necessarily internet based.
Now there's no excuse for not having an idea..![]()

I've got a list of about 4 or so, what I think are amazing ideas, from Twitter. This site definitely made it easier to find good ones though.
Awesome link, thanks for that! Very useful for ferreting out potential "next business" ideas...
"Someone should create a website that rates specific menu items at restaurants. Please let me know if this already exists."
Kevin Rose started "Oink" a while ago but shut it down after a few months despite having 150k followers. Here are some app alternatives that may or may not be accompanied with a website.
