I don't see why not. Everything in moderation, right?
In fact, there was an article in the Wall Street Journal a few weeks back about how creativity improves after a few beers.
But personally, I prefer to eat my calories so I don't really drink.

About ten years ago I saw an interview featuring Dr. Dre the legendry hip hop producer.
In the interview he said 'never make an important decision after consuming alcohol'.
That has stuck with me to this day.
So I think that in order to reach the upper levels as an entrepeneur it is probably advisable to have a no alcohol policy, because, as an entrepeneur you are making allot of decisions, at most times in the day, that can have big consequences.
What do you think? Can you mix alcohol into your life and still be a success at business?

I also understood that alcohol is good for creativity.
Personally I have a couple of glasses of red wine with my evening meal practically every night, and I really appreciate it, this is France so it is considered normal!!
Then at family and social gatherings we will consume a bit more.
But I think in general, people who drink way too much alcohol make terrible decisions, often, and there lives reflect that.
I'd never consider drinking during business hours. But after work or on the weekends bottoms up!

Drinking seems to be a personal decision in business; some people do it, and some people don't. Same with drugs.

I just wanted to add a little tidbit.
When I was in college I worked for a great company. One of the things they did was have "beer Friday". Every Friday they'd have cold beers in the fridge. An hour or so before closing time everybody would finish the days work drinking a cold beer. It was actually a really fun tradition and was great for moral.
Alcohol in any quantities increases your risk for mouth, tongue, throat, stomach and liver cancers. Alcohol does not increase creativity, it lowers inhibitions.

Research seems proves otherwise (about creativity, not inhibitions).
For one such study, see the January 2012 Consciousness and Cognition. (This is just one study of many.)
Along with alcohol, lack of sleep has been shown to increase creativity as well.
Anecdotal evidence suggests drugs work to increase creativity too, but I couldn't find any studies to cite during a short search. There have been many great artistic geniuses to use either drugs or alcohol throughout history.
Remember, nobody is saying you become SMARTER under the influence.

Good for you!!
Outside of business hours, never during, when important decisions have to be made.
Unfortunately true
Although there was some evidence that a couple of glasses of red wine per day is actually benficial.
