One of my consulting/intern colleagues told me about a website: Kickstarter.
Apparently, its an open platform for people to get their creative ideas and entrepreneurial ventures funded by private parties.
Admittedly, I don't know much about the site, but thought perhaps some people on this forum have had direct experience with it, or have heard of positives or negatives associated with the platform.
Any input or experience would be welcome.
Thanks guys,
Mike

If I have any "save the world" type friends who DONT want/need to make a profit or income from their start-ups, I will make sure to send them that direction!
Cheers!

These two articles seem to have a good amount of links for sites that do crowdfunding, albeit some are the same. Most have the creative tie-in though.
