Question Can someone help me get my car started?

So, as we know, I have the goal to reach the $1 Million Milestone by the end of my Senior year of High School. That's 4 years away.

I have money seeds planted in various places.Including the entertainment industry.

I'm working on 2 projects I have questions with.

1: Inventions. I've been watching a lot of commercials and getting a lot of ideas for inventions lately. BUT, I have NO earthly idea how to build the prototypes!
I'm just getting into my freshman year, and I need to build a wireless reciever/transmitter. I basically need help learning how to make prototypes with anything from plastic to technology.

2: The Dark Side of Entertainment. I call it the Dark Side because it's the road less traveled by. I mean the road that produces the star. Right now I have a project where I'm taking a girl and turning her into the entertainment triple threat, making a few bucks, then selling her to Nick or Disney as the closer. But I'm stuck on what to do. I know the big picture, but I'm lost on the details. Mainly, how do I even go about getting Nick or Disney to pick her up? They get TONS of submissions daily, so why would they choose MY client?

I'm terribly sorry if this is as confusing as I think it is. If you want some clarification, feel free to inbox me.

    Thanks,

    Dillon

Hey Dillon its great too see someone of your age on here, I wish I would have had that mindset going into high school instead of coming out like I do now. For prototypes and plastic I would try looking on Alibaba.com. Ive used that site to find manufacturers for all different types of things. You would probably have to pay a sample fee but once you pay that the company will bend over backwards because they know you are serious about business. Although I haven't done anything with plastics on the website I am sure that you could contact companies and figure out exactly what you need to have a prototype made.

    Hope this helps!

Pick up a book called "One Simple Idea" by Stephen Key. There's a whole chapter on prototyping. It explains all the different kinds of prototypes and how to go about making them. It also explains if a prototype is even necessary. Make sure you read through the whole book. It has been very helpful to me even though I'm not going the licensing route.

Good Luck with your inventions and if you need any contact info for manufacturer's, feel free to PM me.

For prototyping, I would use eLance, guru, or odesk. You will need designing engineers who will build you a blueprint and then contact manufacturers to build you a prototype. They have contacts with manufacturing firms and help you out with start to finish taking into account what you are looking for. Kodak and other firms use these firms to design their next cameras and etc.

Doing this is for companies or individuals that have tons of money to waste. It is completely unnecassry to have someone build an expensive prototype for you. You would be amazed at what u can make on your own or have college art students make for you. Plus there most likely isn't a need for an expensive working prototype. My suggestion is do your research before you make a decision to throw money away for nothing.
