Cool Personal Finance Excel sheet to manage money

I am currently a rising senior in college, and lucky for me I have used the little money and one credit card I have wisely thus far. I am at a stage where I feel I should get a better handle on how I can maximize the interest and returns I get on my invested money.

Is there a free excel spreadsheet that anyone can suggest to me that would allow me to see the different returns I would get with different combinations of terms (sum, interest rate, term, etc)? I would of course input rates and terms, etc.

I essentially want to be able to manage my own money, maximize the returns on it and see how I can do this with different combinations of instruments and their terms, without having to give over my information to sites like mint.com.

If you create your own spreadsheet, then you will know how the formulas and the money works. It will be far more effective than using someone else's creation.

x2 on this. Runum has it nailed.

I've been known to make my own spreadsheets to figure out where exactly I was spending money and also to track tip income when I bartend.

I love spreadsheets, I use them to track all my inventor, how much I paid, what I want to get for it, what I actually get for it, % return, average profit, etc, etc...
Everything is plug and play now so it makes my job faster/easier.
