    Default Adventure Travel

I am living my dream currently operate a small lake frontresort in the Adirondacks, a snowmobile rental/guiding business but I have beenthinking a lot lately about starting a adventure travel business aroundMotorized vehicles with guided tours being our main stays.
When I was younger I had a core group of buddies that I hungaround we rode snowmobiles in Maine, Canada, New Hampshire, Michigan, New York.On Motorcycles we went to Daytona, Americade ,Almost every festival. Skied Wyoming ,Colorado ,Vermontetc, you get the idea, Worked hard, Had fun, now circumstances (finances ,families, Jobs, basically growing up)now my buddies can’t do it all the time butare still looking for a good time once in a while.
A lot of them sold the bikes, snowmobiles, Quads etc withthe idea of buying them again then realized they do not have the $10,000-$15000laying around, friends to do it with, areasto ride, but they do have $2000-$3000 for a week or weekend and can rent thetoys and be done with them at end of vacation.
We would be web based with Tours/trips set up in the different areas of the country ,spoonfeeding ideas to people!
Please give me your thought or ideas.
And don’t worry I am a lot better promoter/customer serviceperson than writer!

    Sounds tempting to me!

Maybe even people who never tried it would do.

Another idea that people are doing with boats, do shared ownership clubs. Customers put money upfront and pay user fees and get the boat part time and can reserve slots. It could apply to snowmobiles/quads as well, where you manage the equipment etc... Less risk and carrying costs for you.

So basically spoonfeeding exciting stuff to people? Make it affordable for normal people/late teens and you've got a great plan. One problem I see every day is BOREDOM. Young people are often bored and they don't know what to do to make their life more exciting outside of binge drinking and smoking some weed. Spoonfeed them awesome things to do and they will bite (they would around here anyway, it usually takes alot of effort/money to do exciting stuff).

It sounds great but the affordability is the biggest problem I can see with it. The idea is good though. People liek not having to plan everything on their vacation and know what they are doing when they get there. But they still sometimes liek to have a day or two to wing it.

Thanks for the replies,Afordability def comes into play, but i was thinking more like the 40 year old Motor head that now has a wife, two kids,a white picket fence but no more $15000 snowmobile or Harley, still wants a little adventure for himself and maybe his wife.
I started the snowmobile rental business (bad winter) but my number one customer is from NYC area used to have a snowmobile now rents because of afffordability and time to use it.
Myself for example Summertime-my businesses are really busy,so I sold my bikes(25,000 worth) do I want to go buy them back,Hell no but If I could take a guided trip with some like minded people in Northern New Hamshire for a week(end) for $xxxxx, I would jump on it. end of trip ,Get in my car, no need to trailer the bike, insure it,register, investment sitting in my garage etc.
Leave the Investment and planning to me!

On a related note and hopefully helpful. A friend of mine told me about a business he saw in Florida. It was just a guy that towed several ski doos to the beach everyday and rented them. He didn't have a building or much overhead (I'm sure he had a permit). He would sit in a lawnchair and make excellent money(define that yourself). It wasn't complicated and really anyone could do it. So depending on how "fancy" or professional you wanted to look it seems it could be started relatively inexpensively.
