Default History repeats? Still valid today...

Interested to find out how this holds up today.....

    Loosely quoted.

"Take 100 people who start even at age 25, all of these men believe they are going to be successful; by the time they are age 65, only 1 will be rich, 4 will be financially independent, 5 will still be working, and 54 will be broke."

I think there is something wrong with this quote, because the math isn't adding up! Lol. 1 + 4 + 5 + 54 = 64 Maybe it was "40 will be financially independent?"

Earl must have been one of the broke ones. He doesn't add or comprehend well. I like how all the people add up to 64 out of a supposed total of 100, meanwhile 65 is an age.

Haha good one. The rest were experiencing incontinence or dementia . Well I think he may have been quoting outliers here. Obviously left some out. I'm not promoting him, he might have been a douche, but it seemed like a reasonable reflection of today.

I think he implied the rest are 'getting by'....or not... who knows. I think its getting beyond the point of what he was teaching though.

Nice quote. Perhaps history never moved on?
