Thread: Fastlane Shark Tank - Staunton Fresh

I read this article this morning and thought I would share it on here to start a Shark Tank-like discussion for the business beasts on this forum. Do you think that this venture can be a success or do you think it is a nonviable business? Why or why not? Maybe a better question is, what can you see as potential flaws in this idea? I'm fairly new to ecommerce, so the holes in an idea probably aren't as obvious to me as they are to you guys and I want to know what you guys think.

I think locally grown food will continue to grow in popularity and importance, so it's a good business to be in. Most cities have farmers markets though, and Grocery stores are also starting to carry more locally produced food - so I'm not sure what need this guy fills. If he identifies the needs that aren't met and finds a good way to market it, it could be great.

One of the areas that he could focus on (this is what I would do) is to connect farmers with restaurants. With locally grown food and know your farmer growing restaurants are beginning to differentiate themselves from others based on where their food comes from.
