Hello everyone, I need some really good advice. Idk about you guys but the area I live in sucks! Its really hard to get a good job. I don't know what to do. I have a job working at a Waffle House as a cook, but it sucks. I'm glad I have a job, but the pay isn't that good at all. I'm tired of living paycheck to paycheck, I want to start a business, just like most of you online here. Anyone have any cheap start-up businesses they could recommend? Don't bother with lawn care, I'd have more money than Bill Gates if I had a dollar for every lawn care business down here.

How about an automated dog washing service? I see something like you would put them on a conveyor belt, somewhat like a cross between a regular car wash and a grocery store belt. You would have to figure out how to strap them down at the beginning. They would go through a wash that would be somewhat like a car wash, with automated scrubbers and high power pressure washers. Come to think of it, at the strap down station they might need goggles also. Anyway... at the end there would be a turbo dryer. And, in Florida labor is probably pretty cheap so you might consider a few detail guys at the end for things like bandanas or bows, etc...that could be our signature move.

If you implement this and it goes HUGE, just bring me in at that time. Good luck and please keep me updated.

well iv tried a few ideas since then, but nothings worked. Isn't it obvious that if one of them worked then I wouldn't be posting for more advice?

When you say you have "TRIED" what did that consist of? Did you dedicate a couple of hours to the project and say "Well that's not going to work?" or were you really persistent and spent 100's of hours developing, researching, and implementing your idea? Nothing is going to come out of working a few hours on something and then giving up and moving on to the next BIG IDEA. If you TRULY have an idea that will solve a need or provide value to someone, pursue it, and work through the process to grow that idea into a sustainable and profitable business.

If you are looking for business ideas, there are THOUSANDS of sources to gain ideas.

What happened to your electronic repair business? It sounded like that one had legs.

You are what I call an action-faker, and this is why you fail. You think taking one action, maybe two, consists of a process. It doesn't, and it changes nothing. Your looking for something "quick and easy" and sadly, you're not going to find it, at least not here. If you want to truly induce change, you have to stop action faking, and start action taking. Action taking is repeated action that defines a new habit, lifestyle, and process. You obviously are in the "throw some shit against the wall something has gotta stick" mode.

Hi!

It seems to me that you are looking for a quick fix of your situation. Well, there is NO quick fix. Accept that it will take you a long, long time to actually get results.

Once you accept that you will be in the right mindset to find an idea and pursue it right. Until that, you will keep doing circles: thinking of an idea that might work, play with it for a while, discard it, try something else, play with it for a while, discard it, start something else...etc.

Find something where you can add value and can keep your interest long enough to realize that value.

I've never asked anyone for business ideas, because what excites others does not excite me.

The business concept I've been working on stemmed from a need I've had since near adulthood... it was my biggest pain point. I took action to find a solution for myself, now I am building a business to deliver that solution to others.

Think about your biggest pain points. What are they? Why have they been so hard to overcome? Have you found a solution? Can that solution help others too?

If you haven't read MJ's book, I highly recommend it. You'll probably never have to ask the question of others again, because you'll come up with a better answer on your own.
