Default Interesting way of studying people's behavior

One can learn a LOT about people while doing things like surfing the net.
What you learn can be extremely useful in determining how to do your marketing, or what group to target with which of your ideas.
Or even coming up with new ideas.

Take my example... I like reading memebase, mostly for the rage comics and graphjams.

Here are 2 pics I found just today that says something to me.

You know how most people are in debt? It's because most of them never calculate just how much what they buy will cost them in the end, and they buy beyond their means (with a credit card no less). "Wow this computer is expensive... Wait! Oh, the payment on this computer is only so and so much! I can do this no problem!" Then they never think about just how much it will cost them in the end, if they ever manage to pay it all off.

    2nd pic:

This brings up 2 points for me.
1.) You can always advertise and sell your product well if it targets people's egoism and does it good.
2.) (How can I put this well.....) People might not feel the need to look at places like the Pyramids or the Nazca Lines because they have seen it on TV, or because they might think "what's the use, I'll never get there anyway".
This shows for me that those people might be resigned to their fate as being Sidewalkers or Slowlaners.

By this, I don't mean everyone, of course. Hell, I looked at our house on Google Earth too. But that wasn't the first thing I did, nor was it the ONLY thing I did.

Anyways, just some thoughts of mine while browsing the memebase

Wonder if anyone else sees the meanings in these funny pics like I do?

And the graph doesn't take into account how much indentured time is shifted from free time.
