Default 2009 B&P- What will you talk about?

I volunteered to schedule the presentations!

So for everyone who is planning on presenting, as well as my own sanity, please post your presentation topic here by Valentine's Day or you may not be on the schedule.

Keep in mind that you will only have 15 minutes. 15 minutes no joke. Last year there were many claiming sore butts and the desire for more networking, cashflow and mastermind time, so this means presenters will be cut off at 15 minutes. If you need more than 15 minutes PM me.

    Thanks for doing this, Yves!

I will not be presenting this year-- but if you all want me to bring my pirate hat and teach you more of the pirate alphabet (A, O, I, R, etc), I'll be happy to do so.

    Russ:

I would love to hear your presentation on the "pirate alphabet" (I have no clue what it means) assuming it is related to the fast lane.

    Thanks

    See youtube videos, above.

It was not very fastlane related-- just something to give a bit of comic relief.

I think I could provide the most value by doing one on one or small group online marketing makeovers for the people who have websites.

Can't think of a topic that would be of interest to the entire group. Business, and general fastlane concepts are certainly not my specialty, I'm certainly open, but like I said, I think I could be the most help with people on optimizing any type of web marketing.
Checks are the most boring purchase you'll ever make for your small business, but if you buy them from your bank, you're paying way too much. Order business checks online and save up to 75% off of bank prices.

I'd like input from the attendees on my presentation.

I'd be more than happy to do another presentation on options, but I really don't think there was much interest in my presentation last year.

Here's what I am thinking I can do:
1- General overview of multi-leg option strategies, this would be similar to last years presentation.
2- Narrow down scope to 1 or 2 strategies.
3- No sturctured presentation, just fifteen minutes of options Q&A.
4- Examples of the types of trades that have been working for me lately.
    5- Nothing

That'd be cool, maybe I could coordinate my presentation with an option trade that I would execute based on input from your system.

    That would be great!

I'll send you some notes when I get it put together.

Jon, I think the majority of attendees would be very interested to have you speak on web marketing. If you are volunteering to lead a small group discussion on individual online marketing makeovers, I'm sure you'd have takers on that as well.

Perhaps you could do something general for a presentation like top 10 factors to consider (and how to implement) when working with your website, and keep in general, and then later we can schedule time to break into groups(?)

Let me know what works best for you.

    Edge,

There was a lot of interest in your presentation last year, so please don't bow out of speaking this year. I think if you saw glazed eyes it wasn't due to a lack of interest, it was due to a massive amount of new information trying to be absorbed. (I speak from personal experience!)

...For the time being I can just put you down for a presentation on stocks, and you can clarify that as the date grows nearer.

Also, can I get a ballpark figure as to how much time people would like scheduled in for mastermind groups, cashflow, small groups and breaks?

I was thinking that we would go from 8-5 Sat and Sun and cashflow and mastermind groups could be done before or after this time.

For breaks I was thinking about one 20 min break every 2 hours (depending on how many presentations we have.) Any input?

    How about small groups?

I agree with Yves! I was fascinated by your presentation. It was like trying to drink out of a fire hydrant, tho, there was so much to take in.

As for myself, I haven't a clue. I really haven't. Since I think mine is one that went over 15 min last year, I'd be happy to yield my time to a new person or topic. Not trying to be a party pooper. But if time is an issue, I'm just volunteering.

How about 10 minute breaks every 1 to 1.5 hours? Unless there is a two hour presentation to contend with.

    Russ:

Would you be interested in running a CASHFLOW session similar to the one that LesGee did a few years back? Doesn't need to be the same, just similar.

That's how I run our club. One week, the economy's great. No limit on borrowing. The next, money's dried up. You can get mortgages, but only $5k in bank loans.

I think having a structured CASHFLOW session would benefit a lot of the newer folks.

Jill - I'm not sure if you covered this topic at the last meetup or not, but I'd love to hear about your expertise on maximizing your traveling using frequent flyer programs and the like.

By the way - does anyone have the link to buy the video of the presentations last year?

    Thanks.

I'd like more time for cashflow and mastermind groups. I think evenings will be informal and more for socializing, and I didn't even know there was a "before" to 8am.

So my vote would be to have the cashflow and mastermind groups built into the schedule, especially the cashflow.

I second the idea of having Russ give some type of Les Gee style workshop on cashflow.

    Bobbo-

    I'd love to do this.

But the Missus and I are going through IVF again. I poke her every night (and no, it's not what you think-- it's at least 1, sometimes 2 long, painful needles full of hormones). So while I registered for the event, I may have to cancel at the last minute-- so let's have a back-up plan.

Since you've been organizing Cashflow games in your area, would you be willing to do this for the fastlane group? (heck, I'd enjoy playing with someone else in charge, anyways-- when I organize/set the rules, seems I always spend my time scoping out the other games, and never get to play!

    Would you be willing?
